The death of Hector Gould of East Memramcock occurred at the Moncton Hospital Friday (1 février) after several months of illness. He was 59.

Born at East Memramcook, he was a son of the late Israël and Sophie (Richard) Gould. He was a CNR cook and a veteran of the Second World War.

Surviving are his wife, the former Élise Donelle; two daughters, Mrs. Albert Cormier (Mary May) of East Memramcook and Rachelle at home; four sons, Hector and Charles, both of Hamilton, Ont., Vital and Laurie, both at home; three sisters, Mrs. Vernon Hubley (Amelia) of Bridgewater, N.S., Mrs. Joseph M. LeBlanc (Aurore) of College Bridge, and Mrs. Henry LeBlanc (Jeannine) of East Memramcook; seven brothers, Arthur and Norman, both of Hartford, Conn., Amédée of Toronto, Richard of Peabody, Mass., Gérald of Sept Isles, Que., Ulysse of Manchester, Conn., and Roger of East Memramcook, and one grandchild.

The body is resting at Dupuis funeral home in Memramcook with service to be held Monday at 7:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, East Memramcook. Entombment will be in the St. Thomas parish vault, St Joseph, for burial in East Memramcook in the spring.
